Introduction to Pranayama and Yoga Philosophy will begin the morning workshop. The daily two hour asana practice will include yoga kurunta (rope work) as well as a timed practice.

High Tea Fundraiser
Welcome to our fourth annual High Tea Fundraiser at the Iyengar Yoga Centre of Victoria. This is THE event where we raise funds to purchase new props for the Centre. Chris Saudek Workshop
Chris is a senior teacher from La Crosse, Wisconsin. She has studied extensive with the Iyengar family in Pune since 1978. She is a precise, disciplined and innovative teacher, with training in physical therapy. This workshop is open to Iyengar students able to hold headstand and shoulder stand for 5 minutes. Ask your regular teacher if you are wondering about attending this workshop. Chris will be teaching an extended Advanced class on Monday.
Corine Biria Workshop
Corine began her practice of Iyengar Yoga in 1981 with Faeq Biria. She is a close disciple and student of Sri B.K.S. Iyengar and has made numerous journeys to India since 1983 to study. She teaches regularly at the Iyengar Yoga Centre of Paris and has conducted teacher training courses for the past 15 years in France and Israel. The Workshop is April 22 - 24, 2011: all day Friday and Saturday, and Sunday morning. This workshop is open to Iyengar students able to hold headstand and shoulder stand for 5 minutes. The Teacher Training workshop is all day Monday April 25, 2011. Ask your regular teacher if you are wondering about attending this workshop.
Gabriella Giubilaro Workshop
Gabriella is a senior teacher based in Italy and has studied with B.K.S. Iyengar almost every year for twenty years. In 1977, after receiving her doctorate in Physics at the University of Florence, Gabriella decided to devote her life to the study and teaching of yoga. In 1989 she opened the Iyengar centre in Florence, Italy. She is also a founder of Italy's Light On Yoga Association. Gabriella’s scientific background is evident in the clarity of her teaching. She is well-known for her dynamism, good humour and attention to individual needs. Gabriella has taught regularly in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Russia and the United States. This workshop is open to Iyengar general students able to set up in shoulder stand. Ask your regular teacher if you are wondering about attending this workshop.
Teacher Training Intensives
Attend the Introductory Teacher Training Intensive with Leslie Hogya and Ann Kilbertus.
Program
Daily asana and pranayama practice, peer teaching, philosophy and anatomy will be included in this intense course. Leslie and Ann are experienced teachers certified at Intermediate
Senior I through the Iyengar Yoga Association of Canada and are qualified I.Y.A.C. assessors.
Monday to Friday will be approximately 9 am to 5 pm. On Saturday we will conclude at noon. A celebratory Indian banquet will be arranged for one evening. The cost of the banquet
is not included in the course fees.
Attend the Intermediate Teacher Training Intensive with Shirley Daventry French.
This course offers the opportunity for certified Iyengar yoga teachers to work with a master teacher. It will benefit those preparing for assessment at Intermediate Junior or
Senior level, as well as those seeking to refine their teaching and practice at their current level of certification.
Shirley is a direct student of B.K.S. Iyengar who awarded her a senior teaching credential. She has been teaching yoga for thirty-eigh years and is one of North America's
most experienced teachers in the Iyengar tradition. Shirley has been training teachers in Victoria and throughout Canada for many years.
Program
The daily schedule will be approximately 9 am to 5 pm with a two hour lunch break. A celebratory Indian banquet will be held Thursday. The cost of the banquet is
not included in the course fees.
Please note
Participants must be certified in Iyengar Yoga at Introductory Level II or higher.
